Leo Santa Cruz's Last Round Promotions Debuts

WBA featherweight champion Leo Santa Cruz made his promotional debut as Last Round Promotions hosted its first boxing card at the Radisson Hotel in Ontario, California. Featherweight Jose Gomez of Huntington Park stopped Daniel Gutierrez of Tijuana in the main event. A right hand by Gomez in round two rocked Gutierrez's head back as Gomez went on the attack the referee stepped in to stop the fight at 1:27 of round two.

In the co main event Francisco Ochoa of Los Angeles scored a first round TKO over Mark Bello of Tijuana. After landing a series of huge right hands the corner threw in the towel as the referee stopped the fight at 2:50. Francisco Ochoa improves to 3-0, 2 KO's.

ent the distance in a scheduled eight rounder. It was a competitive fight as Ramirez pressured Hernandez boxed away with the jab throughout the fight. In the final round Ramirez kept the pressure as Hernandez was on his feet circling and jabbing from a distance. However at the end after the final bell the two fighters continued to fight as they traded violently. Ramirez's pressure did as he wins a unanimous decision.

Jose Luis Ramirez goes to 27-6, 16 KO's. Juan Luis Hernandez goes to 18-7-1, 9 KO's.

Welterweight Flavio Rodriguez of South Central L.A scored a second round knockout over Mario Angeles squared off in a four round bout. Rodriguez pressured and attacked, an uppercut in round two staggered Angeles as Rodriguez followed up landing a huge right knocking down Angeles as referee Ray Corona reached a ten count at 2:00 minutes.

Flavio Rodriguez improves to 4-0, 3 KO's. Mario Angeles goes to 1-9.

South El Monte's Saul Bustos made quick work of Eduardo Del Rio of Tijuana. In a very rare bout while it lasted Bustos just boxed as Del Rio kept running away and turning his head the referee did the right thing and waived it at 2:10. After the fight Del Rio was running around the ring, jumping up and down as the crowd was amazed.

Downey's Yovani Andrade won a unanimous decision over Kevin Salas of Tijuana in a scheduled four round bout. Andrade busted Salas's nose in the opening round as he gushed. Andrade boxed effectively throughout the fight and outworked Salas in route to a decision victory.

In the opening bout from the Radisson in Ontario bantamweight Pacoima's Saul Sanchez made his debut against Tmoatzin Landeros as he scored a stoppage in the final round of a scheduled four round bout. Sanchez landed a body shot in the opening round that staggered Landeros. Bleeding from the nose and following up with his attack in round three Sanchez pounded away as the referee stepped in to stop the fight at 2:02.
