Three-time world champion in two division Orlando “Siri” Salido and WBC Super featherweight champion Francisco “Bandido” Vargas who will battle for the championship next Saturday, June 4 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California made an appearance today in Los Angeles in the show “A Los Golpes” to promote their fight.
The show was hosted by Bernardo Osuna and the great champion Julio Cesar Chavez, who refuse to pick a winner between his countrymen did wish both of them good luck.
“Both Vargas and Salido have proven that they are warriors and I am looking forward to their fight. I am sure is going to be great and that the fans are going to enjoy a fight of the year type war and may the best man win,” said Chavez, with a smile.
Vargas (23-0-1, 17 KOs) of Mexico City will be making the first defense of the title against Salido (43-13-3, 30 KOs, 1 NC) in the main event of a card promoted by Golden Boy Promotions that will telecast HBO “Boxing After Dark”.
“I am prepared with go 12 hard rounds and to give the fans the best fight possible. We getting close to fight night I feel great and ready to take home another championship,” said Salido, a former feather and super feather weight champion.
Vargas who is coming of the best fight of 2015 is sure this one will be just as good.
“I am very a very experience former world champion in Salido and I well prepared to face him and keep my title on Saturday night,” said Vargas
