Salido Roman Post Fight

Miguel “Mikey” Roman (58-12, 45 KOs) of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico scored the biggest win of his career as he defeated four time world champion and two-division world champion Orlando “Siri” Salido (44-14-4, 31 KOs) of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Roman talked about his victory at the post fight press conference.

"I am really happy about this victory. It was a well deserved victory for my career against Orlando Salido,"

"I knew Orlando was hurt. I was just so focused tonight. I came well prepared for this fight. I put the pressure and I did not want to leave it in the hands of the judges,"

"I am ready to fight anyone at featherweight or super featherweight. Why not Leo Santa Cruz,"

"What a tremendous night of fights. It was non-stop action," Tom Loeffler said

Newly crowned IBF super featherweight champion Kenichi Ogawa (23-1, 17 KOs) of Japan made his way to the post fight press conference as he talked about his win over Tevin Farmer (25-5, 5 KOs) of Philadelphia.

"I am really grateful. For me to become world champion. This is the happiest day of my life,"

"I see this as the beginning of my life. This has validated me to become a world champion,"

"Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I feel I put the pressure most of the fight,"

"I knew I was going to be the aggressor and he was going to be the defensive fighter,"

"If Gervonta Davis can make the weight we can do it. I would love to fight in Vegas or bring the fight to Japan,"

Former super featherweight champion Francisco "Bandido" Vargas (24-1-2, 17 KOs) of Mexico City, Mexico spoke at the post fight press conference about his gruesome technical decision over England's Stephen "Swifty" Smith (25-4, 15 KOs).

"I am happy with this fight and win. Smith was a tough fighter it was difficult at times. We came out with the victory and that"s what we wanted,"

"I was really surprised when I saw his ear. I am not sure when it happened, I just noticed after the break,"

"We look forward to a title fight the new year. I would like the rematch with Berchelt. Working with Joel (Diaz) we are getting situated and accustomed. I am definitely looking for the rematch,"

"We want to fight the best,"
