Former WBC super featherweight champion Francisco "El Bandido" Vargas (24-1-2, 17 KOs) of Mexico City hosted a media workout Tuesday afternoon at the Westside Boxing Club in West Los Angeles as he faces "Lightning" Rod Salka (24-4, 4 KOs) Thursday April 12 as he headlines Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California.

"I'm fighting an experienced fighter and he will come well prepared,"

Also participating in the workout was San Diego's Genaro "El Conde" Gamez (7-0, 5 KOs) will go up against Filipino boxer Recky "The Terror" Dulay (10-3, 7 KOs) in a scheduled 8-round lightweight fight.
"This fight I'm going up against a tough Filipino. This is a test but it's no exception,"

Rancho Mirage's Javier Padilla (5-0-1, 5 KOs), who will fight in a scheduled six-round super bantamweight affair against Mexico City's Ricardo Arias (1-2-1)

Aaron "Silencer" McKenna (2-0, 1 KO) will return against a soon-to-be-announced opponent in a four-round welterweight fight
