Humberto Soto Decisions Brandon Rios


In a battle between former world champions, Humberto “Zorrita” Soto (69-9-2, 37 KOs) of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico schooled Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios (35-5-1, 26 KOs) of Oxnard, California in twelve round super welterweight bout Saturday night at the Auditorio Municipal in Tijuana, North Baja California, Mexico.

Soto’s took many rounds from Rios with his flurries late in almost every round which led him to a 119-111, 118-112, 118-112 win.

Unbeaten lightweight prospect Hector Tanajara Jr (17-0, 5 KOs) of San Antonio, Texas and South Central L.A.'s Ivan “Striker” Delgado (13-2-2, 6 KOs) was stopped between rounds four and five due to a cut suffered by Tanajara.

Scores were 40-36 3x. Tanajara wins the vacant USNBC title by technical decision.
