On June 13th, 2019 prepare to party as SOCA Fights celebrates Fight Club OC’s 50th Anniversary Show from the Hangar at The OC Fair & Event Center! And the number 50 has a special meaning as the evening will start early at 6pm with 50 cent Hot Dogs and 50 cent Soda's served inside our all new SUMMER PARTY PATIO starting at 6pm.
On June 13th tables and chairs will be placed around the Summer Party Patio for fans to relax, enjoy their hot dogs, have a drink or smoke a cigar before the show starts. The Hangar doors will be open all the way to unveil not only our Cigar Lounge, but an area to relax and get your photo taken with our Tecate Ring Card Girls, and also a place for fans to test drive the latest Super73 Electric Motorbikes.
It isn’t everyday that we get two warriors making their pro-debuts on top of a stacked card but that is just how special this 50th show is going to be! Laguna Beach’s Chelsey Anderson takes on Carlsbad’s Paola Ramirez! On a night that is ripe with history, these two fighters look to make some of their own in this highly anticipated 4 round, Lightweight boxing match. Expect this fight to close out the night with a bang!
Riverside ring tactician Donte "Savage" Stubbs 2-0 plans to showcase the “skillz to pay the bills” once again! For Fight Club OC’s 50th extravaganza, Stubbs is being matched with the very cagey Earl Henry a veteran of four pro fights from San Diego. This 4 round Super Welterweight contest will be a chess match the entire way, however, there will be dire consequences for whoever gets checkmated. With neither fighter eyeing the final bell, the action looks to be fast, furious, and might even create a Fight Club Fight OC Fight of the Year candidate.
The highly touted Jonathan Martin 2-0 from Los Angeles takes on Miguel Jacob 1-0from Redondo Beach in our solo MMA match for June 13th. This bout can only be described as a 3 round MMA Lightweight demolition bout in which both fighters hope to be the first blemish on the other’s record. With action written all over this match-up you are not going to want to leave your seat, take out your phone, or shoot a selfie until it’s over!
Returning to Fight Club OC is Huntington Beach's most animated fighter, Kenny Quach 0-1-1 as he faces 0-1 Francisco Alfaro from North Hollywood in a Super Middleweight 4 round bout. Both fighters are tough as nails and both fighters are looking for their first "W" as this fight has "Money Fight" written all over it!
Greek prospect Triantafyllos Mavidis 5-0 5KOs from Kavala, Greece will return to the hallowed halls of the Hangar! With all the excitement around Fight Club OC’s 50th Anniversary, this 5 and 0 fighter takes on the very experienced Derrick Findley 32-25-1 (22KOs) from Merrillville, Indiana! This 8 round Super Middleweight bout is a step up for Mavidis who doesn’t know what it’s like to go the distance. Findley has been there many times and he’s no stranger to fighting young upstarts like this beloved Greek warrior! It should be closely contested for as long as it lasts.
Opening the show will be the heavy-handed Stephen McKenna 1-0 (1KOs)from Woodland Hills by way of Monaghan, Ireland. This highly decorated amateur star comes from an equally impressive fighting family. In this 4 round Super Lightweight match he takes on Aiken, South Carolina’s Keasen Freeman4-6 (2KOs)! McKenna certainly brings the pedigree as well as the hopes and dreams of an entire country, but Keasen Freeman hopes to make the 50th Anniversary of Fight Club OC a coming out party of his own.
