Vergil Ortiz Sammy Vargas Press Conference

Welterweights Vergil Ortiz Jr. (15-0, 15 KOs) of Grand Prairie, Texas and Samuel Vargas (31-5-2, 14 KOs) of Bogota, Colombia held a press conference in Los Angeles to discuss their upcoming fight taking place Saturday March 28 at the Forum live on DAZN. Ortiz and Vargas will square off for the WBA Gold Welterweight Title.
"Vergil is a contender now. Were looking for a big year. We are hoping to challenge for a world title but he has a big test in Sammy Vargas. He is a rough and tough veteran that has fought the best. This is going to be a big test," VP of Golden Boy Promotions Eric Gomez said.
