Carlos Adames vs. Austin Williams Set for March 21

A new date has been set for WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames (24-1-1 18 KOs) of the Dominican Republic to defend his title against Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (20-1 13 KOs). Adames and Williams will take place at Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando on Saturday March 21, live on DAZN.

Adames and Williams were originally scheduled to square off last month on the Shakur Stevenson vs. Teofimo Lopez undercard. Adames withdrew from the fight due to illness as Williams fought on the card winning a decision over late replacement Wendy Toussaint. Adames is coming off a draw to Hamzah Sheeraz over a year ago in Riyadh.

“Life doesn’t repeat opportunities – if you escaped once, consider it a miracle,” said Adames. “Destiny forgives once. After that, it collects. Not everyone gets two warnings. He already used one. Danger is coming to Orlando on March 21!”
