San Diego's undefeated lightweight prospect Jonny Mansour (5-0, 2 KOs) remained undefeated after defeating Christian Avalos (3-3-2) of Reno in the“Championing Mental Health: A Night of Boxing” main event Thursday night on DAZN at the historic Avalon Hollywood.

A highly decorated amateur, Mansour continued his impressive professional run in his return to the ring for the second time in 2025. Utilizing his range and controlling the tempo, Mansour matched Avalos’ offense with tactical counters and measured defense. With all judges scoring the contest 60-54, Mansour proved he is among the top prospects in the lightweight division.

In a featherweight tilt, Redwood City, Calif.-born Vic Pasillas (18-1, 10 KOs) collided against Atlanta’s own Carlos Jackson (20-3, 13 KOs). Consistently beating Jackson to the punch, the fan-favorite Pasillas turned on the pace in the seventh round, locking in a knockout victory. Entering the bout on one week’s notice, Jose Ramirez (8-3, 6 KOs) shocked the Southern California crowd when he impressively defeated Wild Card Boxing Club’s Jessie Mandapat (9-2-1, 5 KOs) via knockout in round three. Aggressively applying pressure throughout the third round, Ramirez overwhelmed Mandapat resulting in three knockdowns.

Another prospect out of the esteemed Wild Card Boxing Club, Ricardo Ruvalcaba (14-0, 10 KOs) scored a unanimous decision victory over Argentina’s Luis Alberto Veron (20-11-2, 9 KOs). Ruvalcaba, a highly touted contender out of Ventura, Calif., shined in Hollywood against the veteran, walking away with his undefeated record intact.

In the second televised bout of the night, Brook Sibrian (7-2, 3 KOs) went toe-to-toe against Mexico’s Rubi Gutierrez (5-2-1). Absorbing and delivering big shots of her own, Coachella, Calif.’s Sibrian secured a unanimous decision victory, extending her winning streak to three.

Kicking off the action on the main card, fighting out of North Hollywood via Armenia, Avetis Gadyan (2-0, 2 KOs) registered a first round KO victory over Hawaii’s Walter Saragosa (0-3) after scoring three consecutive knockdowns.
