Carlos "Chuko" Diaz (28-1-0, 13 ko's), is a natural boxing talent as this Saturday, he will return to the ring, when he faces the ever-dangerous Eleazar "Tronco" Valenzuela, in headlining Zanfer Promotions card at the Grand Hotel Tijuana that will be broadcast by Azteca 7, the Boxing House.
"Chuko" Diaz will end a 19-month inactivity, and make just his second fight in more than two years, in front of a post-mailous and dangerous kickback like the "Tronco" Valenzuela (26-10-2, 16 ko's) in 10-round contest by superlight weight.
Diaz hasn't fought since May 2019, when he beat Emmanuel Herrera by unanimous decision, and that was his only fight of 2019, with no activity in 2020. Prior to that, in November 2018, he defeated by unanimous decision the solid Tijuana prospect Jesús Antonio "Ricky" Pérez, and in June of that same year he suffered his first defeat by knockout to José "Chon" Zepeda, whom he sent to the canvas in the fourth round.
At the age of 26, "Chuko" enters this stage when many boxers get their best version, the so-called "second air", in which they play the whole, but with greater maturity and awareness of what is at stake in each fight.
And on this occasion, his rival will be the Sinaloan "Tronco" Valenzuela, who will have the advantage as he was active, last August he won by points and took away the undefeated Omar Chavez Medina in Guasave, and in June, he fell in six rounds to the world champion, Miguel "Alacrán" Berchelt, in Mexico City in a 10-round fight.
To support this meeting, Zanfer card two young talents with great projection such as Carlos "Mini" López (13-0-2, 4 ko's) of Nayarit and the Tijuana’s Marcos "Chorizo" Muñiz (14-1-0, 11 ko's), who will see the faces at 8 rounds by Gallo weight.
To open the broadcast, the popular "Heredera" Paulette Valenzuela (9-1-0, 4 ko's) will enter the ring, against Margarita "Explosive" Angels (6-6-1, 2 ko's).
