David Morrell Jr Stops Mike Gravonski in 3

Interim WBA Super Middleweight Champion David O. Morrell Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs) scored a third-round knockout over Mike Gavronski (26-4-1, 16 KOs)Saturday night FOX PBC Fight Night and on FOX Deportes main event from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

The Cuban amateur standout Morrell came out strong dropping Gavronski late in the opening round. A huge uppercut by Morrell snapped Gavronski's head back, forcing referee Jack Reiss to waive it at 2:45 of round three.

In the co-feature Los Mochis, Mexico's middleweight Juan Macias Montiel (25-4-2, 22 KOs) made quick work of hard hitting James Kirkland (34-3, 30 KOs) of Austin, Texas, dropping him three times as the fight was stopped at 1:56 into the first round.

Super lightweight prospect Jesus Ramos 14-0 (13 KOs) stopped Philadelphia's Naim Nelson (14-5, 1 KO). Ramos annihilated Nelson for five rounds as his corner had seen enough stopping the fight at the end of the fifth round.

Super bantamweight Tuscaloosa, Alabama's Travon Lawson (4-0, 3 KOs) scored a surprise upset knockout over 18-year-old prospect Angel "AK-47" Barrientes (4-1, 3 KOs) in the fourth round.

Maryland's Alantez Fox(27-2-1, 12 KOs) won a ten-round unanimous decision over Marcos "Madman" Hernandez (14-4-1, 3 KOs) of Fresno, California. Scores were 97-93, 96-94, and 98-92.

Super bantamweight prospect Chávez "The Beast" Barrientes (5-0, 4 KOs), from Honolulu scored a third-round knockout over Columbia, South Carolina's Paul Carroll (4-2, 4 KOs).

Unbeaten welterweight Radzhab Butaev (13-0, 10 KOs) scored a knockout over Terry Chatwood (9-1-1, 5 KOs). A crunching left hook to the body did it as the bout was stopped at 1:01 of the third.
