Devin Haney Post Fight



Newly crowned world champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KO’s) held court at the post-fight press conference as he talked about his win over Regis Prograis (29-2, 24 KO’s). Haney returned to the Bay Area, in winning a one-sided unanimous decision and capturing the WBC super lightweight title. 


Haney was dominant as he showed his superiority over Prograis scoring a knockdown in route the decision win in pitching a shutout on the judges scorecards. 


Last week, Haney announced his intentions on vacating the titles at lightweight as he held the undisputed throne at 135. 

With the victory, Haney stands at the top of the super lightweight division as potential unification showdowns lie ahead and includes a showdown with WBO champion Teofimo Lopez, other champions IBF champion Subriel Matias, former world champion Jose Ramirez, other talents include undefeated fighters Arnold Barboza, Richardson Hitchins, and of course the arrival of Ryan Garcia.
