Super lightweights Oscar “La Migraña” Duarte (29-2-1, 23 KOs) of Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Chicago’s own Kenneth “Bossman” Sims Jr. (22-2-1, 8 KOs) held their final press conference Thursday afternoon for their fight this weekend. Duarte and Sims square off in the 12-round main event this Saturday, August 2 from Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago live on DAZN.OSCAR DUARTE, SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT CONTENDER:



"I am so happy and excited to be here in Chicago. I want to thank my team for the excellent training camp. Thank you to Oscar and the Golden Boy team for all their support."




"This is going to be a great fight, we are going to give a great show. The people of Chicago are in for a treat, and I know I will have the Latino community rooting for me!"




KENNETH SIMS JR., SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT CONTENDER:




"This was one of my top three goals - the be the best, the make money to take care of my family, and to fight at home and bring a big fight home to Chicago. It's a dream come true. I am ready to put on a show for my city."




"I didn't like the trolling that his team did last year. It takes a lot to get to me. He was bothering me, so I was bothering him. We have to fight anyways."




"We're both ranked top five in the world. The best vs. the best. But this is my city, so I am going to whoop his ass."





Former world champions Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (29-3, 24 KOs) of New Orleans and South El Monte’s Joseph “JoJo” Diaz (34-7, 15 KOs) will square off in the co-main event.


Las Vegas’ Tristan “Sweet T” Kalkreuth (15-1, 10 KOs) and Houston, Texas' Devonte Williams (13-2, 6 KOs). In heavyweight action, undefeated U.S. Olympian Joshua Edwards (3-0, 3 KOs) will go toe-to-toe with Hinckley, Minnesota’s Cayman Audie (4-1, 2 KOs) in a six-round bout. Opening the DAZN telecast, Mexico City’s Yair Gallardo (9-0, 8 KOs) will square off against Gastonia, North Carolina’s Quinton Rankin (21-9-2, 16 KOs) in an eight-round clash. Preliminary action will feature Sonora, Mexico’s Gael Cabrera (8-0, 5 KOs) in an eight-round super bantamweight bout against Miami's Richard Diaz (3-0-1, 2 KOs). Kicking off the night, rising lightweight Mehki Phillips (6-0, 6 KOs) will be featured in a six-round bout against Joseph Cruz-Brown of Sonora, Mexico (12-14, 7 KOs).
