Fortuna Stops Lozada in Six

Former world champion Javier "El Abejon" Fortuna (36-2-1, 25 KOs) of the Dominican Republic was victorious Saturday night in stopping Mexican slugger Antonio Lozada (40-5-1, 34 KOs) in the sixth round at Staples Center in Los Angeles headlining FS1 PBC Fight Night.
Fortuna suffered a cut but scored a knockdown in the opening round and in round six, Fortuna caught Lozada with a haymaker as the former world champion followed up with his assault attacking the Mexican Lozada as referee Gerard White waved off the bout at 2:34.

In the co-feature bout lightweight Austin Dulay (14-2, 10 KOs) of Nashville, Tennessee won a one-sided unanimous decision over Jose Luis Gallegos (19-10, 14 KOs). It was a dominating win for Dulay as the scores were 100-90, 100-90 and 99-91 for Dulay.
Unbeaten prospect Fernando Molina (3-0, 2 KOs) made an impressive U.S. debut by winning a unanimous decision over Jose Zaragoza (5-3-1, 2 KOs).
Houston' welterweight Oscar Perez (2-0, 1 KO) scored a first round knockout over Porterville, California's Christian Marron (0-1) Perez stopped Marron at 1:24.
