Undefeated bantamweights Jose “Tito” Sanchez of Cathedral City, California stopped Jorge Chavez of San Diego by way of Tijuana, Mexico in the tenth and final round as both put their records on the line.

Sanchez boxed excellent to begin in the early rounds, but Chavez began to connect with some good shots. It was a productive fight from both Chavez and Sanchez as they worked away all the way through with neither taking a step back or holding back. Late in the fight in the ninth, Chavez and Sanchez continued to trade away but in the tenth and final round, Sanchez appeared to stagger Chavez and moments later dropped him.  On his feet and continuing to fight Chavez fought on but was dropped a second time as the referee waived the bout at 2:30 of the final round.

Sanchez  stays perfect at 16-0, 10 KOs as Chavez suffers his firs defeat and goes to 15-1-1, 8 KOs.
