Just days following his defeat to Jake Paul this past Saturday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Former world champion and son of Mexican legend Hall of Famer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was arrested Wednesday at his home in Studio City, California by ICE, Department of Homeland Security announced in a statement on social media.
The arrest stems from Chavez Jr. overstaying his visa and lying on his green card application. Chavez Jr. also has a warrant for his arrest in Mexico for his apparent involvement in organized crime and affiliation to the Sinaloa Cartel. According to the Mexican Attorney General's Office his warrant stems from trafficking firearms, ammunition, and explosives.
