Japanese Female Boxing Star Mizuki Hiruta, (8-0, 2 KOs), will defend her WBO Super Flyweight World Title against Undefeated, World Ranked Challenger Naomy Cardenas ‘Kusa’ Gomez, (9-0, 2 KOs) of Chihuahua, Mexico in a scheduled ten-round battle at the next Hollywood Fight Nights event set for Friday, August 15 at Chumash Casino Resort and broadcast globally on UFC FIGHT PASS®, the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports.

The popular Tokyo native, Hiruta, internationally known for her world class skills in addition to her entertaining and colorful ring walks, will be making the fifth defense of her world title. World Ranked #1 by Ring Magazine, ESPN and BoxRec, the Manny Robles trained Hiruta continues to fight in front of huge Southern California crowds of Japanese boxing fans. Fighting on January 17, 2025, Hiruta defended her world title with an eighth-round stoppage of Maribel Ramirez, following up with a ten-round unanimous decision over Ring Magazine’s #4 Ranked Carla Merino on May 17, 2025.
Ranked #8 by the WBO, Naomy Cardenas Cruz has quickly impressed U.S. boxing fans, victorious over top undefeated contender Bree Howling, (8-0), on June 7, 2025 in Orlando, FL. Her prior eight victories have come on the vaunted Mexican women’s boxing circuit.
