Omar "Pollo" Aguilar Returns Saturday Night

Omar "Pollo" Aguilar will face Mexico's national Super welterweight champion, Ricardo Bañuelos, in the stellar contest of the multi-star performance that Zanfer and Max Boxing will present this Saturday, at the Siglo XXI Convention Center in Mérida, with actions that will be televised by Azteca 7, the House of Boxing. "Pollo" Aguilar (22-0-0, 21 ko's), WBC Junior Super lightweight world champion, will risk his undefeated against Mexican champion Ricardo Bañuelos (17-6-1, 7 ko's) in a 10-round welterweight contest, which will mean a high-risk test for the undefeated Ensenadense.

Aguilar has eleven consecutive fights won within the first three rounds, and will face an opponent who of his last seven fights, has six wins, and a points loss in 10 rounds. Bañuelos became national Superwelterweight champion in November 2020, when he surpassed Diego Cruz by points, who stepped into the ring with 21 wins on his record.
