Lithuanian welterweight Eimantas Stanionis (12-0, 9 KO's) stopped Colombia's Janer González (19-4-1, 15 KO's) in the main event of FS1 PBC Fight Night and on FOX Deportes Wednesday night at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Stanionis timed Gonzalez well as he worked patiently. A left hook in the second round by Stanionis dropped Gonzalez as he was up and survived the round. The Lithuanian dominated the entire fight as he sent Gonzalez to the canvas a second time with a huge right uppercut. Stanionis finished Gonzalez in the ninth dropping the Columbian with a crushing overhand right as referee Jerry Cantu stopped the fight 45 seconds of the ninth.
Featherweight prospect José Perez (9-1-1, 4 KOs) stopped José Edgardo Garcia (13-1-2, 9 KOs) in four rounds opening the FS1 telecast from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. It was a high volume output in the early rounds for Perez as he outworked Garcia. A left hook by Garcia connected and momentarily staggered Perez late in the third round. The right hand did it as Perez finished Garcia in the fourth.
Undefeated lightweight prospect Fernando Molina (4-0, 2KO's) of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico was impressive in winning a unanious decision over the tough Teodoro Alonso (3-3, 0 KOs). Molina was slick boxing well and mixing it up. Molina tagged Alonso throuhout the fight, credit to Alonso as he pressed in going the distance six rounds. Scores were 60-54, 60-54, and 59-55.
Philippine Olympian Eumir Marcial (1-0) made his pro debut winning a six round unanimous decision over Andrew Whitfield (3-2, 2 KOs).Marcial worked patiently breaking down Whitfield as his right eye was shut but Whitfield kept going forward in finishing the fight going the distance. All three judges scored the bout 40-36.
Super bantamweight prospect Michael Angeletti makes his pro debut in a four-round contest dueling Jerrell Barbour.
