Watts's middlewight Brandon Adams (22-3,14 KO'S) scored a second round stoppage over Sunny Duversonne (11-3-2, 8KO's) at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California in headlining on NBC Sports Network. Adams ripped away early getting on the inside, a huge left hook in the second stunned Duversonne as Adams ripped away forcing referee Jack Reiss to stop the fight at 1:40 of the second.
Adams will likely take on his originally scheduled opponent Serhii Bohachuk from Ukraine.
Armenian welterweight Gor Yeritsyan out of the Wild Card Gym stopped Mahori Montes of Mexico. The Armenian popped a solid jab setting up the big punches as Montes was on the receiving end of the jab bled early from the nose. Montes was bleeding profusely as Yeritsyan pounded away. Referee Jack Reiss waived the bout 18 seconds into the sixth. Yeritsyan is trained by Hall of Fame Trainer Freddie Roach.
Opening up the NBC Sports Network telecast New York's Brian Ceballo won a ten round decision over Larry Gomez of Utah. Ceballo boxed well as Gomez made the most of it in going the distance.Gomez was deducted a point as he spit loss his mouthpiece during the action multiple times. It was a very tactical fast paced fight. The judges scored the bout 99-90, 98-91, and 96-93 as Ceballo wins unanimously.
Female heavyweight Danielle Perkins (2-0, 1 KO) scored a fifth round TKO over Princess Hairston (1-1, 1 KO).
