WBC/WBO Amanda Serrano (40-1-1, 30 KOs) scored a ninth round KO over three-division champion Daniela Bermudez (29-4-3, 10 KOs) Thursday night in headlining the Ring City USA card at the Plaza del Quinto Centenario in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. With the win Serrano retains her titles.
In the co-feature bout, Mexico’s Eduardo ‘Lalo El Gemelo’ Baez (19-1-2, 6 KOs) handed Abimael ‘Manos de Piedra’ Ortiz (8-1-1, 4 KOs) his first professional defeat via unanimous decision.
Puerto Rico's Carlos ‘Purin’ Caraballo (14-0-0, 14 KOs) of Ponce, scored a fourth-round technical knockout victory over a tough Leonardo ‘Leon’ Baez (18-3-0, 9 KOs) of Mexicali, Mexico.
Juan Carlos ‘El Indio’ Camacho (11-1, 6 KOs) of Juana Diaz, P.R., emerged with a split decision victory over Marvin Solano (23-5, 8 KOs) in an eight-round bantamweight bout.
Luis Midyael ‘Diamante Negro’ Sanchez (9-1, 6 KOs) won a split decision over Ryan Pino (8-6-2, 4 KOs).
Prospect Oscar Collazo (3-0, 2 KOs) of Villaiba, P.R. went the distance for the first time in his young professional career, earning a shutout unanimous decision victory over veteran Francisco ‘El Remanche’ Bonilla (6-10-3, 3 KOs).
Former three-time world champion Arely ‘Ametralladora’ Mucino-Reyes (29-3-2, 10 KOs) of Monterrey, Mexico, won a unanimous decision over Mexico City’s Lucia ‘Maravilla’ Hernandez-Nunez (7-11)
