‘King’ Callum Walsh, (14-0, 11 KOs), stayed undefeated on Saturday night at Chumash Casino Resort with a fifth-round technical decision victory over veteran contender Elias Espadas, (23-7-1, 16 KOs) in the main event of another outstanding Hollywood Fight Nights event, promoted by Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions and broadcast globally on UFC FIGHT PASS®, the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports.

Starting strong and smothering Espadas with a barrage of power shots, the Irish southpaw controlled the action in the opening stanza. In the second round, Walsh endured a bad cut over his right eye from an accidental headbutt. Fighting through the adversity against the aggressive Espadas, Walsh would clearly win the first four rounds.

At the start of the fifth round, ringside physician Dr. Tony Hicks advised that the fight be stopped due to the cut. Scores for the Freddie Roach trained Walsh in victory were 50-46 on all three judges’ scored cards.

Said Walsh, “I was a bit disheartened. I wanted to put on a show for the fans. “I’ve been cut before. … I’m a warrior. This is a fight,” Walsh said. “The cuts, scars and bruises make you who you are – tough.”

Stated promoter Tom Loeffler, “Callum showed the reason why he’s considered the fastest rising star in boxing, with his speed and power along with fighting through a bad cut in the second round from an accidental headbutt against an always dangerous veteran in Elias Espadas. He demonstrated a great deal of poise tonight.”

Commenting on the entire card, Loeffler continued, “Another great show at Chumash Casino, I was also very impressed by the performance of Umar Dzambekov who showed his class against a much more experienced veteran, Roamer Angulo who had fought some of the top names in the division.

Also, Cain Sandoval is always in an exciting fight and got the stoppage victory. ‘Chucky’ Barrera also showed great boxing skills in his win. ‘Right Hook’ Roxy always steals the show with her dominating performances and eye-catching outfits. You can tell that training with Katie Taylor was a great benefit in this fight.”

Light heavyweight powerhouse Umar Dzambekov, (12-0, 8 KOs), of Los Angeles, CA won an eight round unanimous decision against two-time world title challenger Roamer Alexis Angulo, (28-4, 23 KOs), of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Scores were 80-72, 79-73 and 77-75. Overcoming Angulo’s early effective aggressiveness, the Austrian Dzambekov attacked heavily in the middle rounds, consistently scoring with battering shots to the head and body.

‘Sugar’ Cain Sandoval, (16-0, 14 KOs), of Sacramento, CA knocked out Argentinian junior welterweight Jonathan Jose Eniz, 36-23-1, in the second round (2:31). On the attack from the opening bell, Sandoval displayed his trademark arsenal, stamping the 22-year-old as one of the best young fighters in boxing.

Fighting for the fifth time at Chumash Casino Resort in front of another huge crowd of supporters rising super flyweight, Daniel ‘Chucky’ Barrera, (9-1-1, 4 KOs), of Eastvale, CA returned to the win column with an impressive performance against game southpaw Basilio ‘El Zurdito’ Franco, (10-4, 8 KOs), of Los Angeles, CA. over eight rounds. The stronger Barrera consistently used a successful body attack to slow down Franco as both warriors battled to the final bell.

Highly touted female star, ‘Right Hook’ Roxy Verduzco, (5-0, 1 KO), of Los Angeles, CA continued to validate her accolades with an eight-round unanimous decision over featherweight Celene Roman, (6-4-1), of Ontario, CA. The 23-year-old Verduzco, fighting in her first eight rounder, dominated the action throughout as the southpaw earned the victory by scores of 79-73 on all three judge’s scorecards.

Welterweight contender Gor Yeritsyan, (20-2, 16 KOs), of Los Angeles was upset by Chicago’s Vernon Brown, (14-2-1, 10 KO) in an entertaining matchup. Winning the hard-fought battle through the first six rounds, Yeritsyan was stunned by a huge left hook in the seventh. A follow-up barrage of punches called a halt to the action at 2:46 of the stanza.

Opening the card, female featherweight Jenelyn Olsim, (0-0-1) and Jessica Radtke Maltez, (1-2-1), battled to a four-round draw.
