William Scull
“I’m very happy to be part of this event and excited for Saturday night. People can say whatever they want, this is a fight and I’ve done everything to make this a great night on Saturday.”
“I’ve been ready for this moment. It took me a while to get invited to the party, but I assure you, I will be taking home those belts.”
Badou Jack
“I’ve never stopped training and waiting for my next fight, ever since my last fight. Now we’re back…The goal is to be undisputed at cruiserweight.”
“To fight this long you have to have good genetics, good skills, and good defense. You have to live boxing. It’s a lifestyle. If you take care of your body and live clean, anything is possible.”
Noel Mikaelian
“Everything is good and I feel great right now. I’m here for the win and to retain my belt. I’m the world champion.”
Jaime Munguia
“I’m very happy to have this opportunity…I’ve been waiting for this moment and I’m ready for it. On Saturday, I’m going to make sure things go my way.”
“There’s always a little bit of nerves that come with the pressure of a fight, but that just makes me more motivated to show everyone an exciting fight.”
Bruno Sarace
“In boxing, everything has changed for me since defeating Munguia. Now I get to compete on a great event like this and I’ve prepared very well to take advantage of the opportunity.”
“To me, I always have the same feeling before a fight. The first bout doesn’t exist. I have to write a new page in my story.”
“When I took the first fight, I knew that I had the will to win…I have to win again and it doesn’t matter how.”
Martin Bakole
“I’ve got the fight mentality and I’m ready to go. Everyone knows I’m the ‘King of Africa.”
“The Joseph Parker fight was a big favor I did for the boxing world. After the loss I went straight back to the gym and did everything I needed to do to get ready for the Ajagba fight.”
Efe Ajagba
When asked who’s the “King of Africa” ahead of matchup against Bakole
“It’s me. There’s no doubt… I’m looking forward to the fight and I’m here to conquer all.”
Marco Verde
“As always I’m very excited to represent Sinaloa and all of Mexico, just like I did in the Olympics. I’m going to lift the flag high just like I did then.”
Richard Riakporhe
“It feels good to be at heavyweight. Your mood changes when you don’t have to cut weight. It feels like I’m cheating.”
“After the loss, I assessed myself and everything that went wrong. I think boiling down to cruiserweight was crazy. Now is the best time to push forward and see the damage I can do at heavyweight.”
