Zanfer Promotions Looks Forward to 2021

Zanfer Promotions kicks off its season this Saturday January 16 at the Grand Hotel Tijuana on Azteca 7, the House of Boxing. The main event features super welterweights Carlos "Chema" Ocampo (28-1-0, 18 KO's) taking on Abraham "Pitbull" Juarez (20-6-0, 8 ko's). In the welterweight co-feature Jorge "Chino" García (18-6-2, 16 KO’s) takes on Tijuana’s José "Berna" Lozano (8-0-0, 8 KO's) in an explosive knockout duel. Humberto Galindo (12-0-1, 9 KO's) and Gregorio "Calambres" Soto (14-3-2, 8 KO's) in a six round super featherweight bout.

Wednesday during a virtual press conference. Zanfer's president, Fernando Beltrán, said he was very pleased with the role with which they will open season Saturday night in Tijuana.

"It is a great card in which the great winner will be the public. We will see extremely contested fights, we will have a world qualifier against a boxer of great experience, two young sluggers who will test each other, prospects in high-risk fights looking to take a step forward in their respective races. We're very excited," Beltran said.

The Tijuana based promoter referred that for Zanfer, this year and above all, the first quarter, will define it.

"We're putting it all around, we'll play all our best cards. Already in February Berchelt will fight against a great boxer such as Oscar Valdez, then comes the fight between 'Gallo' Estrada and 'Chocolatito' González in an unification, Nery could unify with WBA champion Brandon Figueroa, 'Cowboy' Navarrete will make his first defense but could also make a unification, we are in negotiations for Jaime Munguía to contest the middle world championship to Gennady Golovkin , most likely Jackie Nava fights in Argentina, or we can negotiate a fight against the 'Barbie' Juarez, all this, of course, without neglecting our young talents, our prospects, who despite these difficult times, with closed-door events and complicated situations, are giving them activity," Beltran said.

Zanfer's president highlighted the importance of strategic alliances with international companies such as Top Rank, Matchroom Boxing, Golden Boy, Premier Boxing (PBC), and others in different parts of the world, to project Mexican boxing figures and consolidate their careers.
